A good friend of mine is obsessed with his Harley, and rightfully so. When he asked me to take a picture of it, I jumped at the chance. He didn't know what he was in for - flashes and softboxes and umbrellas, oh my. I actually had planned a bigger shoot, using a Walmart special giant light modifier (queen-sized white bedsheet), but based on quickly expiring daylight and a bit of wind, I decided against it and just went with standard equipment.
He also didn't know that I had to scout a location that would give me the background I had in my head. I needed a sunset, because I figured the sky and the sun would complement the color of his bike. It worked. A beautiful sunset showed up on this unseasonably warm November day, and we were able to capture some great pictures of both his bike and a buddy's blue bike as well.
